If you are looking for something to do while at home, Yahoo (www.yahoo.com) has a section called “Stay at Home” that has different resources you may enjoy.

Type in www.yahoo.com to take you to the Yahoo web page

Click “Stay Home” link (the link is the 8th link from the left)

You come to the “Say at Home” section
The “Stay at Home” section will list topics that may interest you.
Each topic may have links and article information

You can travel to the topics either by
* scrolling down the screen
* or clicking on one of the circle boxes under the “Stay at Home” title.
You can click the following circle boxes.

Dream about the future

You may be at home waiting for the current situation to come to a end. You may be wondering what else you can do while waiting. One suggestion is to dream about the future. What do you plan to do when you are no longer confined to your home?

Do you plan to go to the local bar and have a drink with friends? Do you plan to go to a local sporting team event to support your favorite team? Do you plan to hike a walking trail? Do you plan to ride a bike? Do you plan to travel to a particular place? What do you plan to do in the future?

Do you have an idea? . . .If you have an idea that came to your head, you may enjoy adding details to that dream. Where does the dream occur? What activities will you be doing? Do you plan to do the activities by yourself or do you plan to have other people? What will be the environment where this dream takes place? Will it be a quiet place? Or will it be a nosy place? Will the activities occur during the daytime or will it occur at night? What will be the details of the dream?

You may find doing specific activities may help you add details to your dream. Activities that may be helpful could be:
– be alone in a quiet place and think about your dream
– if you live with other people, you can talk about the dream with others
– Internet search your dream – use the Internet to find details about your dream. If you enjoy travel for example, you may look up the place that you dream about traveling to.

Stay home with me YouTube channel – ideas of what you can do

If you are stuck at home and looking for stuff to do, you may be interested in a YouTube channel called “Stay home with me”.  It is a YouTube channel that gives information about our current age (otherwise known as the virus that messing up things), and gives you choices of different ideas that you may not have thought about.

Expansion of the digital

If there one advantage of the current age, it may be the expansion of connections in the digital word. (Using “connections” in the broad sense of meeting people, resources, information and experiences).  Many parts of human society have moved to the digital world that may have only been available in the physical world before the current age.

Examples of moving to the digital world could be
* jobs – hear about jobs be done online
* social groups – social groups that may have meet only in the physical world are now meeting online.  A social group web page called meetup (www.meetup.com) advises social groups to meet online
* churches – churches that may have only met physically are not offering their services online
* Career associations- career associations that may have meet physically in the past are now meeting online.  I know personally the American Marketing Association and the Association of Talent Development have had meetings online.
* Education – we now have entire universities offering their courses online (or the majority of their courses online) (like Harvard university has transitioned their courses to go online in the current age)

People may face difficulties making connections in the physical world but do not have problems accessing connections in the online digital world; people may face barriers like:
* time – may have another event scheduled as the same time the meeting is occurring
(meetings done online may store archive the meeting that will allow people to access the meeting later)
* travel – the meeting may be too far away; or may not be able to access public transportation to get to the meeting.  The meeting done online means distance not a factor; anyone can access the meeting through the Internet
* may not be able to physically go the meeting; a person may have physical difficulties that prevent the person going to the physical meeting; but the person can join the meeting online.

When the current age is over, many patterns of going online will likely remain; people who have difficulties making connections to the physical world; will likely have more options to make connections in the digital world
