On the Home page, you will find a feed listing different blog posts on LinkedIn.
The blog posts you will often come from other people in your network.
You may increase the odds of seeing remote opportunities by growing your network.
You can invite other people to belong to your LinkedIn network.
You can send out an invitation request.
You may increase the odds of people agreeing to be in your network by including a personal message. Some ideas for the personal message can be:
Including a personal note may increase the odds that a person will connect with you.

You may use keywords in the Keyword Search Box to find remote job opportunities on LinkedIn posts.

Once you have an account, click the “Groups” icon on the top part of the screen.
In the group section, you will see a Facebook groups search box on the left side of the screen.
You can type in words in the group search box and then get choice results (hopefully) on the right side of the screen. You can click on a particular choice result to get more information.
You may find three different Facebook groups to be of interest;

You can type in terms like “remote,” “remote jobs,” or “remote careers” in a Facebook Search Group Box to search for remote opportunities.

Vocational Rehabilitation is state government offices in the United States that help people find job opportunities with body limitations (or difficulties). People with body limitations (like back problems making it difficult to lift heavy items) may find the services in Vocational Rehabilitation helpful in your remote job journey.
A person may meet with a specialist who can help them with their remote job journeys.
You can often find a state government that will create a Vocational Rehabilitation web page that will give information about their state’s Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Check with the Vocational Rehabilitation office in your state to see what specific services your Vocational Rehabilitation office has and the specific guidelines to qualify for their services.
For those looking for a Vocational Rehabilitation office for your state, you can do a Google search (or some other similar search engine) and type in the word phrase “Vocational Rehabilitation” and then the state you live in. If you are searching on Google, type the phrase “Vocational Rehabilitation” in quotes so Google will search for the entire phrase “Vocational Rehabilitation” instead of two separate words of Vocational and then Rehabilitation. You can search for the phrase “Vocational Rehabilitation” in quotes makes for a more precise search.

This week we look at another general job website called Power to Fly.com (www.powertofly.com). Power to Fly.com allows people to search for jobs in various career fields. You can also search for Remote job positions.
I give the descriptions based on looking at a computer screen from a full-size computer. Your computer screen may or may not match the description.
You have two methods to find job positions
We will look at each method in detail in the following paragraphs.
Go to Power to Fly.com
Click www.powertofly.com in your browser
Then on the Power to Fly.com home page will be a link on the top of the screen called “Jobs.”
Click “Jobs.”
You will then have a screen with a professional search box called “Search by title, skill, or company.”
You can find the professional search box towards the top part of the screen.
Type in a keyword related to the profession you have an interest in the professional search box.
A geography search box is next to the professional search box.
Type “Remote” in the geography search box to indicate interest in remote positions.
Click the Red Box with the white magnifying glass to start the search.
Hopefully, you will obtain a list of choices on the left side of the screen.
Select a job choice to get a more detailed job description.
The detailed job description will be on the right side of the screen.
The jobs may be hybrid or remote.
You may find some jobs are repeated in the job list.
You can search for jobs by category

Click “Jobs.”
In the upper 1/3 part of the screen, you will have a “Browse All” link underneath the professional and geography search boxes towards the right side of the screen.

You will then have a list of different categories to search for a job position. Some link choices will be by professional field, geography preference, and specific company.
Click a category that interests you.
Hopefully, you will get a list of job choices that interest you.
You then can type out “Remote” in the geography search box to indicate interest in Remote positions.

You then can select a job choice to get a more detailed job description.
You can also find browse categories from the Power to Fly.com home page.
Go to the Power to Fly.com home page and scroll down.
You then will have a listing called “Popular Remote Jobs” columns.
